Our baby diaper manufacturing plant operates under the lean manufacturing principles, which assure our customers the best quality at the lowest cost. Raw materials are sourced from industry leading raw material manufacturers in the United States. All incoming raw materials and finished products are tested to specifications and performance standards. Each department including Engineering, Quality Assurance, Design, Research and Development, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Logistics are linked under one work flow manufacturing system.
Our packaging capabilities range from high volume automation to the repacking of small lots in low pack counts. Packaging types includes Sample packs for new diaper introductions, Mini and Convenience packs for convenience and dollar store channels, Jumbo packs for grocery and pharmacy, and Mega packs and Club Boxes for the wholesale and big box retailers. We actively support the customer marketing and promotional needs with in-pack promotions such as coupons and on-pack promotions and special labeling. Our objective is to share our experience and manufacturing capabilities with each customer to meet their specific channel packaging promotional needs.
In addition to corporate brands Impex manufactures diapers for private label brands in both baby and adult briefs and underwear product categories. Impex can demonstrate just how fast and effective a private label program can be created.
In 2009 Impex acquired a fully automated JOA baby diaper converting line. This converting line has capability of manufacturing all sizes of baby diapers in Supreme, Premium, and Value categories. This machine, nicknamed "Jeanne" produces over 15 million disposable baby diapers per month. This acquisition gives Impex the distinction of being the first and only baby diaper manufacturer in the state of Florida to specialize in disposable baby diapers. Impex Quality Assurance
To ensure product compliance to performance and workmanship specifications Impex has a top notch Quality Assurance team and complete in-house Quality Testing Lab. The Quality Assurance Team is led by our experienced Black Belt Six Sigma certified Manager with over 10 years of industry experience and Regulatory Compliance. To help ensure quality throughout the process Impex follows the cGMP's (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) process.
Quality assurance within the cGMPs includes:
- In coming raw materials inspections, testing and final disposition
- In-process quality checks at predetermined points of the manufacturing process
- Finished goods final release from manufacturing to warehouse
- Random packaging inspections prior to shipment
- Loading inspections and audits to ensure correct product in the right quantity

Market Testing of Baby Diapers
In addition to the testing of baby diapers daily in the laboratory, Impex has established diaper testing programs with local day care centers. These are real market testing environment controlled with standards, procedures and formal documentation and a closed feedback loop. Over 90 children use Impex diapers each and every day. Each day care center teacher is trained by Impex to meticulously record the specific dimensions, weight, waist size, gender, and diaper size of each baby. A complete visual inspection is performed and recorded before use and the performance results after use are documented. Impex maintains daily contact and conducts weekly review meetings with the staff. This is an invaluable real world-testing environment that will continue to provide Impex Manufacturing real time feedback and an excellent source for continuous improvement ideas for diaper construction and design.
